Hey all, this is Joonho! As hackneyed as this may be, I am being 100% honest when I say that I'm extremely excited to begin working for Sprout. When my dear friend and former classmate of the wonderful Amy Butcher's creative writing class at Iowa Young Writers' Studio posted on Facebook about Sprout, I was immediately intrigued. Everything from the adorned yet clean layout of the website that housed the attractive logo, to the exquisite literature used to craft the missions page (in particular: "We are simply a plot of land for seeds to grow. Plant yourself here and watch yourself prosper." Major props to which of you two geniuses wrote that) advanced my already immense interest of working for Sprout.
All that was left to do was apply and hope Sophie liked my writing at Iowa.
Luckily, she and Victoria did.
One of the pieces I sent them is titled "How to Avoid Getting Bullied In Middle School." It's a piece I wrote on the plane ride back from Iowa, a product of two weeks of living in a literary haven. Here's the link to the piece; I hope y'all enjoy.
Oh and one more thing: if you have any questions about me, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I like mail!
